Brilliant,
A great toaster and very happy that I chose this model.
We have slightly adjusted the heating settings between each side but toast and bagels are toasted very nicely (thicker breads are handled easily).
It is quite a large footprint on the worktop but worth it in my opinion.
My only downside is on larger pieces of bread, the top corners can be slightly underdone compared to the rest of the slice but turning them around near the end does the trick.

I researched all makes and prices of toasters before choosing the De’Longhi Icona Toaster. I choose Aubergine just because I like purple. When it arrived and I opened the box I thought they had sent me black by mistake but no it was the Aubergine but in my kitchen it looks black! Made some toast and it took ages, then out it popped. Very unevenly browned. I have tried all levels & none appear to toast the bread correctly. Would I pick this toaster again, no way. I didn’t return it as I just could not be bothered. The only plus for me it that you can have different settings for each set of 2 slices of toast, which is very helpful in this house!

Works great and looks like an old american car !
The usual remark for internet purchase: beware of the colour. It’s brighter on the picture than what you actually get. It is a dark, sober, aubergine.
